I’m Denisse, and I’m here to walk with you through the hard stuff: life transitions, loss, anxiety, grief, stress, even the weight of depression. I offer personalized therapy that integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness, with a culturally sensitive approach shaped by my experience as a Latina immigrant woman.
Together, we can create space for you to feel supported, understood, and gently guided—at your pace, and on your terms.
02 ABOUT ME
I’m originally from Mexico and have been living as an immigrant for over ten years—a journey that’s taught me the value of resilience, connexion and finding support in community. I am a latino, cis, able-bodied, post-graduate educated woman.
I hold a MSc in Psychology and a MA in Counselling Psychology from McGill University, and I’ve been working as a therapist since 2016. I’m a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC #13398), by the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
Since 2020, Mindfulness has become a key part of my life and work. In 2024, I began formal training to teach Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and I’m grateful to now offer MBSR classes as part of my practice.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a proven program that helps manage stress, anxiety, pain, and overall well-being through mindfulness meditation, body awareness, and gentle movement. Developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn (University of Massachusetts Medical School, 1979) it supports greater self-awareness and presence in daily life.
The standard MBSR program lasts 8 weeks and includes:
